There is no solution to illegal immigration, unless you want to bring all the guys home from Iraq and line them up along the border, then keep them there permanently.

Also, it is not our greatest problem. We have much bigger problems. we are running a trillion dollar a year deficit now and the war itself is costing a trillion dollars. Illegal immigrants cost only a fraction of that.

illegal immigration is the single most important issue facing the nation and neither party as a solution.

This whole immigration discussion has taken the front page only in the past 1-2 years. How did it become the single most important issue facing the USA, when it wasn't ever even discussed three years ago?

Since I'm somewhat out of the loop on US news shows, I don't even know what exactly is the big problem. Is the theory that illegal immigrants are generally taking jobs that unemployed citizens in their 20's should have?
