Alan, thanks for posting the Pbase URL. I'm a sometimes landscape painter and I'm always on the lookout for reference material. I haven't spent much time there but it looks like something I can use. I try to take a lot of my own photos, and living at the foot of the Rockies you'd think I would have a drawer full of good stuff, but I just don't take the time to get out and shoot.

That image represents a familiar site. The waves of amber grain and the rustle that goes with it are almost as soothing as ocean waves lapping up on shore. However the catharsis is seasonal.
