Why? I think we've been in a stagflationary rolling depression spurred on by the tech crash and 9/11.. A persistent rise in prices of things you need and simultaneous crack up booms and incredible busts in different sectors and geographic areas.. Cleanse, wash and repeat as Shades would say. Offset a bust in one place with a boom somewhere else.

Problem is if Blackhawk Ben hyperinflates, he prints himself outta a job. Everything will get blamed on him, he'll get booted and the Fed will be shut down. I don't think he wants to go there, but maybe I'm wrong....
