Thanks, Peter. I'd like to clarify one point concerning second and third time AP installation costs. You stated:

"Enterprise IT spends as much to install an Access Point as the AP costs"

Multiply this first time installation by two if the AP is being installed in a commercial building with a large structured wiring plan requiring a union labor shop. Times 3 or 4, when including the cost of running a power circuit up to and along the ceiling, where it will very likely never be used for anything but the AP, if power-over-ethernet (POE) isn't used ;)

But as you implied, the incremental costs for a second or third AP in a re-used (i.e., pre-wired) location is marginal.

AOL and Clearwire Enter Wireless Broadband Marketing Pact

Clearwire will begin offering AOL High Speed service over its broadband wireless service in selected U.S. markets for $25.90 per month, under a marketing pact announced by the firms. The first markets are Daytona Beach and Jacksonville, Florida, as well as Stockton and Modesto, California.

The service operates at FCC-licensed 2.5 GHz frequencies in all of its U.S. markets. Clearwire sends its signal wirelessly from a transmitter on top of a cell tower to a specially developed receiver modem.
