Laz, I realize that responsive cable companies are not the norm. Heqq, I was with one of the worst when I lived in Northern California.

I am also aware of the political machinations which ensconce a cable company in an area, with no competition and almost no hope of getting rid of them and the horse they rode in on, such is the sturdiness of the roots that take hold by law.

At the time when my little town in Northern California was trying to rid itself of our terrible cable company (about 15 years ago), we of the town were told that (to date then) only one little town had managed to rid themselves of their criminally incompetent cable company. That little town was Rolla, Missouri, and its cable company was broadcasting pornographic content over regular broadcast channels (ABC, NBC, CBS, etc.), in the middle of the day, on an impromptu basis. What a thrill for the school kiddies! Whew! - Holly
