Interesting link. I noticed that the point he made in the March article about the POG in 1974 was exactly the same point he made in yesterdays interview, that being that after a decline there was an eight fold increase.

Could be things will work out in a similar manner this time. I remember very large price and wage inflation in the 1970's, we were giving out small raises to production workers every two weeks. But finally after years of this gold finally had a big run, being taken down along with oil under Reagan. I really believe that there was lots of cold war skullduggery responsible for the fall in the price of oil and gold, mainly to deny the Soviets their main source of funding. Maybe those factors are absent this time.
