Hey, I need a legal opinion. I get zonked on drugs, maybe some alcohol too, get in my car, start it, start driving, and ram some security barricades in DC. Have I committed an offense against the law? Oh. I'm a member of the US House of Representatives. Does that change things? And my last name is "Kennedy". Does that help? Now instead of giving me a field sobriety test, arreasting me, cuffing me, and hauling me off to the hoosegow, the cops do NO test and take NO samples for later analysis. Instead they drive me home. Is this proper performance of their duties? Strangest thing. Not a mention of this on Soup Ration.
