Let's assume some of these hotels get built.......why would tourists come to Dubai?

And I can't remember........all those office buildings we see in Dubai, are they occupied?

Russians and Europeans can have beach vacations in wintertime and the exotic Arabian ambience in 5 star world class hotels. It's sort of like people in rainy cold Seattle going to Cancun for some sun in February. Rich Arabs and Indians/Pakistanis come to Dubai and have a bit more fun than they can in their home countries. The desert is pretty beautiful, and there are plenty of drive/BBQ/camp trips.

As for whether all those buildings are occuppied, they are still building like crazy, so its an ongoing process. I don't really know who buys them and how well they resell.
