its a start but not enough. You need successful blacks who are not identified with the conservatives to take the lead. Cosby is a pretty liberal guy but gets nowhere when he reads these folks the riot act. And heres another problem to think about. Many, many blacks have made it to the middle class but unlike with other groups there kids arent buying in to middle class role models. Kids may like the money but they are dropping out, doing drugs and listning to gangsta rap. If there are any teachers out there, they will tell you stories of black middle class parents tearing their hair out over this, especially boys. Middle class black girls are generally ok. Heres a prediction that comes from me being in brooklyn and seeing the changing faces of interracial relationsips. Black gals and white guys are beginning to equal the number of black guys and white gals. And there are many more matches between the former that are sociologically doable so the numbers should increase.
