jpg: The Cubs have gone into the worst slump that I've ever seen them in...they're headed to San Francisco and will play your Giants tonight. When a team loses 7 straight and 9 of 10, it's going to start getting tense. If they can't pull a win out of San Francisco, 10 in a row might be the impetus for some major changes.

For those who don't live in the city of Chicago...it seems the tide is really turning. In a bar this weekend, I looked around and saw TVs with two things:

1) White Sox Games
2) NBA Playoffs (without The Bulls)

That is right, a north side establishment, Cubs playing late on the west coast, and not a single tv on the game. This team is in a spiral in more ways than onfield performance...Who knows how this will end. I would hope that the Tribune company would consider selling the Cubs to private owners committed to fielding a competitive team. I admire what the Chicago White Sox have accomplished in the last few years...They have a payroll that is no larger than the Cubs but have one of the best GMs in MLB and of course they have Ozzie Guillen -- the 2005 AL Manager of the Year (and possibly the best Manager in baseball today). I support any Chicago team that performs well enough to get into the play-offs and right now it looks like The White Sox are the only team that has a chance this year.
