The Ambien story turns out to be the perfect excuse if it's true. Many cases of people driving off in their sleep, and one of the top ten substances in DUI cases, plus it's legal. Plus when he said he was on his way to a vote, that means he can't be arrested. Congressmen are immune from arrest if they're on their way to vote. Kennedy needs a break though. And no wonder he bowed out of the senate race.
