Soros, my understand is, was agaionst Bush's economic policies, that is to borrow and spend way too much, devalue the dollar, reward the rich and pressure the middleclass. Soros supported the way Clinton did it, paying as we go and balancing between people power and corporate power. The rightwing keeps claiming Soros is "far left" but he is the ultimate capitalist shark otherwise. He's the one who went after the English Pound and brought it down strictly for reasons of personal greed, but also willing to take the ultimate risks. That's the mark of an extreme capitalist.
