Ted, you have to understand my point. One reason why higher income taxes won't affect the rich is because they can avoid them. Trust funds, offshore accounts, muni bonds, etc.

You can't hide all of it.

Raising the income taxes on the "rich" won't affect them, because they've already made theirs.

It would provide us with needed income for the gov't. You do understand why Bush imposed tax cuts.........it was to reduce the amount of taxes the rich have to pay. You have this issue so jumbled up in your brain that I think you are starting to miss the essence of the discussion. There was little justification for the tax cuts......just as there was little justification for the war. So the Bush people created arguments to fit their desires.
