My 11.611 target was one of those TA non-EW things......Now one little problem with TA targets: they are usually minimum targets ....and I have sometimes been flabbergasted by how minimum (cf. AAPL in 2004 and 2005)....Which is why I have often found myself holding on to something for much longer than originally thought...and watching TLs and breakouts etc. for clues....

Will take another look at possible EW scenarios and what they may indicate....(EVEN though, not long ago, I used to refuse to deal with such a weirdo index as the DOW......must be mellowing in my old age....LOL)

<<.......your 11611 Dow target doesn't really agree with a 3 of some degree STARTING here. Maybe you'll revise higher?>>

Freep.....Interim HOLDING reply......FYI copy of most of a post in a discussion I had with VVV about possible targets.....dated April 2nd.....

<<Reviewing your post, VVV...I'm inclined to put the beginning of wave 5 up from the 2002 low at the August 2004 lows of the SPX, COMPX, NDX, and QQQQ...and at the October 2004 low of the INDU.

Assuming, as you suggest, that wave 5 would equal the wave 1 up (October-December 2002), wave 5 would see percentage increases, and reach levels, as follows:

INDU..........25.646%....................up to.....12,621.09........(TA 11,611)
SPX............24.154%....................................1,316.93..........(1.347.96)
COMPX......25.495%....................................2,197.19...........(2.433.63)
NDX..........45.323%....................................1,892.00............(1,880)
QQQQ.......45.698%........................................47.13.............(45.98)

I show on the right, above, the targets I had previously projected based on my TA voodoo.....which were lower for INDU, NDX, and QQQQ......and higher for SPX and COMPX...(which, in these last 2 cases would indicate what is not unusual..5 greater than 1).>>

Don't know whether I would still stick with that.....will try to get a better fix over the weekend....gg
