Aye, but Lazzie, I did NOT advise you to get DSL; I advised you to get cable or satellite. Understood, your local cable company there in The Gulch is universally scorned and hated, but shirley it cannot be any less competent or reliable than SBC, no?

So, bite the bullet, or whatever, and go with cable or (if available) satellite. My hands down preference would be for cable. - Holly@cableandhappy

Since they keep telling me it is on their side of the line, I keep telling them I have wireless and have a communications company that put that in for me and I will call them and have them come out and get it straightened out and then I will forward their bill to SBC for collection. The people at this communication company are all former SBC employees and they really know the business. I have many telephone numbers and since all our family have cell phones, I am going to cancel all the ones we do not use that much and we will take advantage of our cell phones. Know many that have done that and say their telephone bills have gone down tremendously and saved them real money.

When I get upon my high horse, they had better watch out for the screaming little old lady coming after them. Yep, I'm fearless....lol
