Tim, Indeed! One thing I would differ with, at least in my experience in recent years, is that the doc is loathe to keep you waiting and is religious about adhering to scheduled appointment times--above all else. More cookbook stuff. Maybe it's a regional thing.

Me? I'd rather be kept waiting and know that I would have a thorough diagnostic workup when my turn came.

Years ago, worked for an internist who was ALWAYS way off schedule and I ALWAYS had to work way late; unpaid overtime in those days. If I were to say I didn't mind the unpaid overtime, I'd be lying. My point is that each of his patients got however much of his time their illness required, and no less. He had no cookbooks or cookie cutters. - Holly
