Why is the rightwing only concerned about illegal aliens (and only ones from Mexico?) come election season 2006, when they also want to split from Bush to try and win re-election? The rightwing has been in charge for five years and haven't said very much about illegal immigration. Too busy screwing up our country, looting and gouging and trying to destroy Social Security and Medicare. Until they run out of winning issues and need something new to "fire up the base" (racist base that is, homophobes, afro-phobes, latinophobes, whatever-the-phobes). Any phobia that works, right? Why else, 2006 and not 2000, or 2002, or 2004, or anytime for the past forty years? The border problem has been there for a long-long time.
