I think before we get too excited about how the GOP is going to split we should look at the wedge issue that is surely going to used against the democrats this fall. Illegal immigration. The left has to be careful because the right is going to position as if they like unlimited immigration, legal of not. And they do because it keeps wages in this country down. And the righties like cheap labor. If the left tries to defend the working class and their right to be protected from illegal immigrants competing for their jobs, the right will use this as a reason for hispanics to vote republican.
