If mankind is the cause of this warming then the pace will quicken as China and India continue to industrialize and the US continues to waste energy heating/cooling huge houses and fueling gas guzzlers. Explain to me WHY China gets a pass in the Kyoto Treaty. A decade ago global warming was up for discussion. Most respectable scientists now agree that global warming is occurring Industrialization ended that Ice Age about 10,000 years ago, right? Once the methane hydrate on the ocean floors starts to flash to gas the cycle will quickly deteriorate to the point where mankind does not have the technology or energy resources to slow or stop it.
