Yes, you're right he probably wouldn't be able to get the military to back him. I was just saying he would investigates the possibilities of doing it. What wouldn't surprise me is if he does get impeached, censured, or indicted is that he will take it to the supreme court. They would have given him anything a few years ago maybe now one of the 5 right wingers can see what kind of person he and his cronies really are and what they are doing to tear apart what democracy we have. Just hope there aren't more than 4 supreme'ers who are like him.

Can the supreme court overturn an impeachment on constitutional grounds? I'm sure gonzales will say they can.


I don't think the Court can......its Congress that can impeach, not the Courts. Did you see the article someone posted [maybe me] recently regarding Illinois? Apparently, Illinois has found an obscure statute that allows the states to start the process of impeachment. Currently, they are discussing whether to proceed or not.
