"Clean coal" does not exist. It's a Bushie type feel-good name for a polluting energy source. It is a little cleaner but it is not and will never be clean. Unfortunately we have a lot of coal, but it's hard to know what to do with it longterm. I would prefer "clean" nuclear to "clean" coal. The nuclear energy could be used to make hydrogen fuel which in turn could replace gasoline and heating oil.
