Timeline: 1965 - Senator Edward Kennedy (D, Mass.) is instrumental in the introduction and passing of the Immigration Reform Act. He promises that none of the horrors and abuses that have since occurred will ever happen. This during LBJ's watch. Approximately 4 million aliens invade. 1986 - Senator Edward Kennedy (D, Mass.) is instrumental in the Senate bill to "fix" the illegal alien invasion problem. He promises that this will fix it. Reagan signs it with the caveat that the amnesty program will be followed up by stringent monitoring of our borders. It doesn't happen. Four million illegals are welcomed with open arms. Many more shop signs are posted in Spanish. (1989, Chicago, among others, declares itself as a free zone for illegal aliens. During the ensuing years hordes invade the city and state of Illinois.) In the ensuing years up to 20 million illegal aliens invade the U.S. (Figures derived from the 2005 Bear, Stearns report.) Fast forward: 2006 - Senator Edward Kennedy (D, Mass.) with Senator John McCain (R, Ariz.) introduce a bill to fix the immigration problem. . . I suggest a bill to fix the KENNEDY problem!
