Funny you should mention global warming today. One son and I were talking about that this AM ....TOld him I was reading Crichton's (?sp) "State of Fear"...it is about "global warming", using charts, and stats that are documented on both sides of the issue. Primarily, Crichton is saying the same thing I do, and that is ...."how do we blame the last Ice Age on humans....the last one was 10,000 years ago"...BEFORE humans started to do much of anything except build campfires....

No one has much of an answer to that....

It never ceases to amaze me that people look at thirty years data and think they can project a multi millennium trend based on it. Thirty years ago there was much concern about global cooling and the coming ice age.

We should protect the earth, but irrational panic is a bit over the top.
