Exxon made the greatest profit ever in world history. If you want to defend the energy gougers in the name of free enterprise, go ahead, but just remember what "free enterprise" really means to the deregulation zealots, FREEDOM TO GOUGE TO THEIR HEARTS CONTENT especially after recent mergers have eliminated competition and turned big oil in this country into ONE BIG MONOPOLY. Monopolies and price-fixing are illegal. The Standard Oil breaks-ups have not been put back together. So time to break them up again. They have way too much power to gouge unless they really are competing against each other, which under Bush-Cheney they absolutely do not, expect to compete for who can gouge the most.
