<There is every reason to think that the biblical writings are nonsense patched together from many myths and fables>

So? You seem to have a hard time sticking to a topic. Wonder why? Might have to admit something?

,Christians care because there is nothing remarkable about His teachings>

Well, how would you know? Meaning is in the eye of the beholder. Sounds judgemental to me.

<Many of the the 23 thousand posts on this thread examined the Christian claim that the bible was inspired by "God" and contained something more than primitive mythology.>

Oh my... the "Great Solon's thread" has declared....................... Wowa... not even going there.

Besides we were'nt even talking about that; every time you get led to the water and have to look at your reflection in the pond you go back to how:

since there is (some)falsity in the bible and Christians (some)declare the bible their holy book (which has a myriad of meanings); therefore there was no Christ and there is nothing worthwhile in the bible & all Christians are morons. Black and White, tied up tight (in a box). Nice!

<Those taking such a position have been unable to justify their belief.>

Did you really expect someone to come on your thread and prove that there is a god, or that the bible was "inspired" by god??

DAK

Some Christian lawyers -- some eminent and stupid judges -- have said and still say, that the Ten Commandments are the foundation of all law. Nothing could be more absurd. Long before these commandments were given there were codes of laws in India and Egypt -- laws against murder, perjury, larceny, adultery and fraud. Such laws are as old as human society; as old as the love of life; as old as industry; as the idea of prosperity; as old as human love.

Amen & Halleluja .....let the TRUTH be told .
