Ooops, you are right Don. I had a redundant "economic" in there. And I should have elaborate more on the danger of people reducing fuel consumption due to the high price of fossil fuels and reduction in SUV sales. I'm sure people will be driving less and using smaller vehicles where available.

I suppose we shouldn't be churlish as Americans have done a sterling job of producing carbon dioxide since the industrial revolution and the other 95% of us should take a turn at keeping Gaia warm by producing CO2.

Unfortunately, we are too lazy. I suspect the problem is that we don't drink enough coffee. As you say, it's easy to let caffeine levels drop. Americans are wired. Go go go. Sometimes too much so and they need Prozac, Valium and Budweiser etc to ease off a little.

I quite like low caffeine levels. I feel equable. But that leads to careless, if not lazy, attitude, and that leads to lack of editing, which leads to errors.
