Greg, please reread my post. You're making a world's record jump to conclusions, and using some improper assumptions.

I didn't avoid your question, I tried to state it in a more reasonable form. I can personally verify some things I consider to be facts, some I can use to verify other facts, and then there are things that I think are facts. I know the difference between first-hand knowledge and things I think to be true. Then there are other things that are BELIEFS only, with no basis in my observable world, and I recognize those for what they are, too.

That seems to be the point I'm not communicating very well. BELIEVING something doesn't necessarily make it true, and if it turns out to, in fact, NOT be true, it shouldn't upset an entire belief system.

I think you are in worse shape than the ones you are attempting to criticize.

Huh?? I wasn't attempting to criticize anyone. I do, however, suggest that people recognize the difference between opinions and facts.
