Turtle poop smells really bad. If turtle poop becomes too expensive, we can use poop of other animals, even if theirs doesn't smell quite as bad. Same with silver.

one could buy a slave with cowrie shells not to long ago. they did not conduct electricity either. one time I tried to argue reason and science with a baptist preacher. he got mad and wouldn't give me any fried chicken. first its buy silver because its honest money then because it conducts electricity. if it takes cowrie shells to buy a slave and u want one or if it takes keeping your tongue stopped to get some fried chicken better be smart eh?

now I have 500 silver coins and so do you and we both want an orange to eat - who pays who how many silver coins to go pick one? I pay u 2 coins or do you pay me 3 or does the preacher pick one for me for a chicken? water conducts electricity too. make nano silver with lotsa water and silver and u will be even richer eh? that preacher wil VALUE your water and silver over an orange and a chicken right?
listen at general chen - itdoesnt matter what YOU believe but what the people around u believe. if they will give me food for a mmon rock or a cowrie shell - I need some eh?
