He has no troops to invade with He might be trying to provoke a wider war thereby getting troops from Sunni countries. There has been a neocon strategy in the past of so abusing some current practice that it becomes discredited and abandoned. For example they so abused the special prosecutor law against Clinton that it was not available when needed. The CIA, FBI, FEMA, and the Border Patrol are not just accidently disfunctional, but disrupted so that they can be rebuilt with aparachiks and cronys in place. Perhaps in some insane way Bush Jr. thinks he can bring the world to the brink of anhialation, and thereby somehow get everyone to accept Jesus and sing Kumbaya. Junior's the kind of guy who thinks that the way to deal with wilted flowers is to kick over the flowerpot and assume the maid will clean up and place fresh flowers. TP
