Nixon dropped more bombs on Vietnam than we did the entire WWII. In fact, more than all bombs dropped during WWII. On that basically harmless country which was not threatening us whatsoever. Under Nixon, we saw huge escalations in dirty warfare. The Phoenix Program of assassinations, the Agent Orange, the napalm, the free-fire zones, the burning of villages, the torture and the severe crackdown against the anti war movement. No wonder many Vietnam vets went mad and our country split wide apart. It was madness.

Johnson started it and lied, but Nixon kept the lies going and escalated in dirty ways for a long-long time.
