That condition is maintained only when the government is more powerful than those corporations or individuals.


The US government could be a tenth of its current size and still be a lot more powerful than any corporation or individual. Governments have armies, heavy weapons (including nukes), law enforcement agents, a lot of guns, prisons, the legal right to seize your wealth or draft you, etc. If corporations have those things than they are governments. You write as if you thought a cut in taxes and spending by say 20% would cause GE, IBM, Intel, or Microsoft to rule the country.
