I always thought that was rather odd about "Trace." I mean, the cops won't even take a report until a person fails to show up for, what? 36 hours or something? These guys have the FBI out in force after six hours. I don't think sos.

RMF, I find "CSI Las Vegas" fascinating and try not to miss it but agree with you re the fallacy it imparts as to the time and effort spent on crime scene investigations. Same with "Law and Order."

I have heard that lawyers and law enforcement personnel run into conflicts with the general public who watch such shows and expect things to be done in those ways and expect to have everything neatly tied up.

I will go out on a limb here and say that in the medical arena, things are done in manners far afield from what is presented on "House, M.D." and other medical dramas, which also leads to false expectations from viewers when they become patients. - Holly
