You're the one trying to revise history to make the Vietnam War look like a war the Republicans had nothing to do with. Obviously, your facts are up your ass because you're ashamed of the GOP's role in the war, and the GOP's current war. Nixon made a lot more war than peace. He only grudgingly and gradually ended that war after tremendous pressure from the public, and after bombing the kingdom come out of Vietnam instead of putting more boots on the ground. He showed no sign of disapproving of the war, demonized the anti-war movement and escalated the violence and killing in many horrendous ways. The real tragedy here of course is that Robert Kennedy was murdered, a man who would have been elected and would have stopped the war by 1970, three years before Nixon did. In fact, if the rightwing hadn't murderd John Kennedy, the Vietnam War might not have even happened, and the Cold War might have been over 15-20 years earlier as well.
