If you look at English through history in different countries and historical eras and different professional/social circles, the writing styles varied widely. Compare Hemingway to Dickens to Chaucer, for example.

I have certainly seen different diction and lexicon styles in French and Croatian. From what I know about Arabic (which is very little), flowery language and expression is the norm.
