Oral, I can believe the ancestors of the American Indians could have been one of the lost tribes of Israel, because there has been some speculation that a tribe, or two, went to the far east of Asia, and some were the Mongols. The DNA indicates that the American Indians are of Mongolian descent, and there is a lot of evidence that they walked across the Bering land brige from 10 to 20 thousand years ago. The early ones became the Indians, and the later ones are what many call the eskimos, or Inuits.

There is still some mystery about the Mandan tribe in which the people were white, and spoke an ancient Dutch dialect.
