I absolutely agree with you on this point. IBM is, maybe, AMD's 4th biggest customer and they've already said they erred by not selling more Opteron offerings.(In their last EA CC, IIRC.)

BRCM, in their last EA CC said they were designing chipsets for the next generation of AMD products and expected to take over 1/2 of high end AMD product chipset sales. That's the BRCM that bought Serverworks, the company that kept HP supplied when INTC's P4 server chipsets didn't work.

BRCM: Stock price falling faster since I bought into it yesterday.

we'll see how this turns out but I'm betting on the remnants of the Serverworks team.
