I don't have any 800s either.

:-)

But I've been eyeing some HD cameras... so maybe...

BTW, I've been getting my RAM and hard drives from transintl.com for years. Their stuff is good and reasonable in cost. I had a pocket drive go south two or three years ago and they exchanged it for free - it was over a year old.

They also sent me the wrong RAM once, but made good with a prompt reshipment of an exchange.

I just today ordered a 1G memory card for the 17" MacBook at $109.

Now, now, guys don't start comparing the size of your powerbooks in, eh, public...

I've got a few Firewire 800 disks (including a Lacie Terabyte nyaa nyaa - zzzzzup!)

When you transfer on the 800 port, the files go through before you even drag the files over...

But really, the 800 is fast. Super fast. I should compare to the USB 2.0, there is a connection for that. But compared to the 400 - it seems a lot more than twice as fast. OK, sounds like another speed mark I should try out. Problem is I only get bits and bytes of time during the day for anything...
