The estimated number of al-Qaida agents, foot soldiers and allies worldwide is over 10 million. That number may be low. Western intelligence sources also estimate that al-Qaida sympathizers could be as high as 10% of Muslims. Since the number of Muslims worldwide exceed one billion, that intelligence estimate works out to upwards of 100 MILLION people. Al-Qaida forces are dispersed as widely as Indonesia and the Philippines to Europe, Asia and Australia. They are in East Africa and Nigeria; they are in Canada and Mexico.
