I have a leather InCase that I used for my 3-year old 17" PowerBook (the one I'm switching out for the new MacBook Pro. It's very nice, but I've had it a while, so I'm not sure what model it is. I use it for short, in-town trips. It's well padded and has single small pockets on each side for power module etc. I've had it for over a year so I'm not sure if InCase still sells it.

For long trips I picked up a neat ballistic nylon Kensington Contour with wheels. It has room for enough clothes for an overnight trip and big enough to have the portable office equipment for 1 or 2 week trips. The wheels are damn handy for 17" portables and paraphernalia.

OT - on Cases check out the brain Cell at TOM BIHN

It actually suspends the laptop inside the case. I did a lot of research looking for this one after my laptop case fell off my shoulder. My G4 ended up dented and didn't quite work 1000% after that. Put your mouse over the "See Protection" under the picture.
