I'm not sure what you mean by asking what conclusions I deem most desirable. If your talking about conclusions I would imagine that accurate conclusions would be most desireable.

As for what I consider to be likely to happen in Iraq? I suspect that it will be a messy situation for awhile, with gradual improvement. It will probably never be as good as might have been hoped but I think things can get a lot better than they are now. The improvement might be slow and uncertain but I think it will happen.

I think the article linked to below is somewhat accurate. Perhaps a little on the optimistic side. I think it focuses on the positives and might understate the negatives, but the positives it mentions are real.
