AMD's retail presence is solid. The retail consumer prefers AMD's product offerings over INTC's.

The HUGE challenge for AMD is gaining entry into the desktop/workstation/mobile enterprise/government sectors. That is where HUGE growth potential resides for AMD.

It would be a much easier task for AMD to access the enterprise/government sectors were Dell onside, but, as history has demonstrated clearly, Dell is clearly an INTC puppet and, in effect, an INTC subsidiary and, consequently, only when there are "two moons in the sky" will Dell provide a conduit to the enterprise/government for AMD product, no matter how large the disservice to their customer, as we have witnessed over the past 3 years.

Fortunately for AMD shareholders, AMD's ecosystem now includes the likes of HPQ, SUNW and IBM, all with growing interest in AMD enterprise offerings.
