Curious, then, that the "flies" were already in Baghdad before we showed up to "poop". Suggests a certain pre-existing arrangement, no?

Better "proof" of a pre-existing arrangement is the fact that the 9/11 terrorists were in the US prior to 9/11. The FBI knew that some were training to fly airplanes, but not learning to land them. The FBI knew that there was a terrorist threat to use hijacked weapons as airplanes; the FAA knew that there was a terrorist threat to use hijacked weapons as airplanes. Bush had a briefing that OBL was determined to attack the US. And while the US is under attack, Bush continues to read My Pet Duck. Better to be outside of DC if you know that the terrorists might fly an airplane into the Whitehouse.

As to whether it is a good idea or not, depends on whether the flies fly off fat and happy, or get killed in the "backyard". Flypaper is a tried and true method of fighting flies.

Great on the job training for terrorists. Check the numbers. What's happened to world wide terrorism since Iraq? Terrorists are breeding like flies with all the "poop" Bush dumped in Iraq.

Then there's the WMD that "might" have been smuggled into Syria from Iraq. What has Bush done? Nothing. Syria has it's own inventory of WMD. What has Bush done? Nothing. Then there's the WMD [chemical and biological] that Bush claims Iran has. What has Bush done? Nothing. Then there's North Korea, who will sell anything to anyone. A real success story there, for North Korea.

Further, wouldn't it be a good idea to protect the against terrorists bringing WMD into the US? Bush said we should worry about that. Let's look at what Bush has done about border security, port security, and airline freight. Nothing. How about the security related to hazardous chemicals being shipped via US rail through metropolitan areas. Nothing. Security at US chemical plants. Can't do anything about that, it might affect the profit of chemical companies. What's more important profit or national security? For Bush it's profit.

We just tested the ability of terrorists to get nuclear material that could be used for a dirty bomb through border checkpoints in Mexico and Canada. It sailed right through. We still have a border checkpoint at the US/Canadian border that relies on the honor system. Bush is counting on terrorists going up to the little camera and saying. Hey, I'm bringing in some WMD under a false passport. Brilliant.

A flypaper is mildly effective because it does not nourish the flies in the neighborhood and just as importantly the flies cannot break free of it. Can you make these claims about Bush's Iraq? Can you show that Iraq has not created more terrorists than existed before? Can you show that terrorists who enter Iraq do not leave to go back to their homes and recruit or train others?

Incidentally, flies are everywhere. That by itself does not mean there is something wrong with the neighborhood. There is no shortage of the home grown variety here in US either. Should Bush wage war against domestic terrorism by turning Oklahoma city into a war zone?
