Semi Equip: AmTech Cuts Industry Weight to Neutral [delayed]

Ridgeland, MS, MAY 11, 2006 (EventX/Knobias.com via COMTEX) --

AmTech cut the semiconductor equipment industry to Neutral Weight from Overweight. The firm said the current industry fundamentals are postive, but visibility for late 2006 and early 2007 is inadequate. In addition, Susquehana reported growing semiconductor inventories this morning.

(-) AMAT: AmTech cut AMAT to Hold from Buy on valuation, lack of visibility, and below-industry growth rate.

(-) LRCX: Amtech cut LRCX to Sell from Buy citing incremental market share loss.

(-) TER: Teradyne was cut to Hold from Buy on valuation and lack of visibility.

A client was complaining about the very same thing today. I told him to buy some USO as a hedge or offset.
