Maurice, Auto emission standards are ridiculous. Many places in the world there are no standards, or at least none enforced, and even leaded fuel. I have lived in such places and didn't mind breathing the air, albeit smoggy sometimes in a great city. What is crazy about it here in the US is that a vehicle that only operates out in the boondocks has to be fitted with all the same energy-robbing emission gadgetry as a city car. This is another shake-down related to the global warming shakedown. Slagle
