Gonna be a lot of squealing in the near future.

I don't mind the squealing. People can squeal about whatever provokes it. I'm beginning to get really irritated, though, at those who legitimize their complaints. It's fine to sympathize with those faced with unplanned expenses. But legitimizing their ignorance really bugs me.

Until one day it hits him in the pocketbook and the squealing begins. Gonna be a lot of squealing in the near future.

Yes, and it's going to be about a lot more than gas prices. As your post suggests.

It's the same old problem; Americans are completely plugged into a world economic and financial system they depend on for their gas, their mortgage financing, everything they buy at WalMart, etc. Oil prices depend on a market controlled by foreign national oil companies, not Exxon.

Well, Exxon, and other such entities, do take advantage of this. But I certainly agree with the structure of your point.

I started to type that "a day is coming" but it's more like "days". And, for that matter, longer.

Much of the problems have been created by both the failure of the Reps during their period in power to address them and also by their policies which have exacerbated them. But, when they strike in their most serious way, whichever party is in power will be the target.
