"How would you know???"

For instance, Christian scholars consider the message of Jesus to be about SIN as the essential condition of humans. Buddhist scholars consider Gautama's message to be about SUFFERING as the essential condition of humans.

Jesus talked about Heaven and Hell as the afterlife. Buddha talked about rebirth and about Nirvana.

Jesus preached obedience to the Judaic Law and the Ten Commandments purportedly given to the myth figure, Moses. Siddhartha spoke of the Four Noble Truths.

The Christian is redeemed through FAITH and belief in Jesus. One practicing Buddhism develops good karma to end the cycle of rebirth through good PRACTICE.

Jesus speaks of a Hebrew God as depicted in the Torah. Buddha has no conception of such a God.

If mystics have a special line to a deeper truth, then the contradictory and disparate messages they preach as Absolute TRUTH is evidence that something is amiss, DAK!

For you to blubber out these names without giving thought to the matter is typical of "seekers" such as yourself. Please don't misunderstand: there is nothing wrong with seeking dimension in life. But the careless appeal to authority does little to promote thoughtful discussion.

"Look, you're right, I"m wrong."

That is unnecessary. It is not about WHO is right. It is about the coherency of fact and argument. "ALL the mystics"...blah blah blah is essentially meaningless and offers nothing for discussion.

And pulling the myth figure, Jesus, out of the context of Christianity and the Christian claims is essentially feckless and absurd.
