Carlyle is run by top level Bushies. Since they are a private company they don't have to follow any rules at all, and can claim whomever they want is Chief Imperial Wizard. But everyone in Houston (where my family lives) knows that it is James Baker, Bush Sr., Frank Carlucci at the top. Those names were hidden after 9-11. The Bin Laden and Dubai groups are also huge investors in Carlyle and those names are now hidden. We don't know much beyond that because Carlyle never releases its financials. Another disturbing fact, Carlyle made a 300 million deal with CSX before its CEO Snow was appointed Sec. Of Treasury by GW Bush. CSX is also part owned by Dubai now. I smell a big rat there. Especially with GW pimping for that awful Dubai Ports deal.

Back in 2003, GW Bush put Baker in charge or Iraqi debt. That is a huge-huge deal. When the Saud family wanted to fight 9-11 families class-action lawsuits, Baker was called. When Bush wanted to finish cheating in Florida to take the White House, Baker was called. Baker controls about 200 million (and growing) worth of Carlyle Group which probably makes him the biggest owner. thenation.com Carlyle also used to train and equip the Saudi Royal guard, which is the kingdom's security force. So what is Carlyle's real role here, especially combined with its evil twin Halliburton? In many ways, if you understand the Baker octopus you understand the real agenda behind the Bush administration. War for profit, cheating to make billions and energy deregulation and gouging. Those are probably the Big Three priorities, and in this respect Bush-CHeney is a smashing success story.
