Bush destabilized the region?

A few years ago there was no Taliban. Then, backed by Al-Qaeda forces, the Taliban government organized and dominated the region that had been divided and resistive to all stabilizing forces for centuries. A rather amazing feat all by itself. The influence of the Taliban was knocking on the door of Pakistan which seemed ripe for this same kind of change (and still does). Various other geo-global regions were eyeing all this and it appeared that the Al-Qaeda approach could be implemented as a more far reaching, even global influence.

In fact it is the stated goal of Al-Qaeda to establish global dominance and topple western organizations and powers in the wake of its movement. The world would be very stable as an outcome.

Then there's the regime of Saddam... Bush destabilized the region??? Good for him.

BTW, What government is currently being supported by Al-Qaeda?
