that would sure be outperformance by the shares. just another 7% on the HUI while PoG plunges $90.

I tend to agree w/your assessment on gold prices, but I think the ultimately low will be very brief and 'V' shaped in the shares as many juniors are compelling at sustained 600+ POG let alone higher prices as seems ever more likely now that 700+ has been tagged. Not sure what target I have for the HUI. More concerned w/individual issues here.

patron,

Interesting, so with POG $300 higher than in 2003, we are only seeing 20% of the money flows into the Rydex pm fund. That is certainly supported by the lag we have seen in the miners, relative to POG. Bizarre. On a positive spin, we should expect much greater money flow as investors realize this bull is for real and pony up the cash.

I have no prediction on how sharp or deep the correction will be. I just don't have a clue yet. I am also not interested in buying the bottom. I want to buy the uptrend. Looking at the daily charts for XAU and HUI, I do not think we are there yet. Want to see that sharp V bottom, signifying that value was recognized and purchased in size.
