If the National Guard is Federalized and brought in, and the Feds pay for it....Will the Repubs AND the Dems continue to carp about the deficits in the budgets....We can't have it all ways....

Or should the individual State be in charge of whether they utilize the NG or not....and perhaps share the cost with the Feds....?

The only thing I know about LA is what I see in the movies.

Here in the DC metro area, people seem to be integrating pretty well. We have a very high percentage of foreign-born people and a very low crime rate in general. I don't know how we do it but we do it.

The high murder rate in DC is black-on-black, there doesn't seem to be any solution for that.

The cops that were killed in Fairfax this week were killed by an 18 year old blond blue eyed suburban kid with no record, who started having paranoid delusions a couple of months ago, probably schizophrenia. They're going to make a big deal out of it but it's meaningless. Just sad. Sad things happen.

I paid $2.79 for gas out in the boonies today. That was the price for regular everywhere once you got outside the metro area.
